We look forward to seeing you Memorial Day Weekend! Important information for your upcoming trip!

You have been directed here because you are registered for the retreat.  We look forward to sharing a faith-filled, fun-filled time of fellowship and laughter, and an opportunity to make friends from many different states and Canada!   In the context of scripture, this year’s "Purpose. Passion. Pursuit." represents an opportunity for God to be active in our lives, offering a life filled with Purpose, a heart of Passion for shining His light in the darkness, and the Pursuit of one day hearing "well done, good and faithful servant". Our worship leader, Renea Bucken, is returning again with her team of talented musician to lead us in a meaningful time of worship.

ROOMMATES

If you requested to share a room with a friend on your online registration, we will do our best to accommodate that request.  If you know who you would like to room with but did not include it on your registration, please let us know ASAP as we will be turning in our room assignments to the camp by the 19th of May.  There are typically no more than 3/room in standard lodging, and we will do our best to accommodate your special requests but there are NO GUARANTEES.  Private rooms are always an option for an additional fee.

IMPORTANT GLACIER PARK/ACTIVIES INFORMATION

We are also looking forward to our free time activities in Glacier Park.  Glacier Park no longer requires the timed entry passes which is a blessing.  A season pass or weekend pass of $35 is needed for park access. This will admit everyone in the vehicle.  Consider helping the driver of the vehicle cover this cost as well as gas.   There may be an additional fee of $2 fee for Going-to-the-Sun Road during peak hours (and it may be limited).

GLACIER BOAT CRUISE:   Once again, we plan to secure “group” reservations on the Lake McDonald charter boat cruise for Sunday afternoon @ 3 PM - please plan to have $25 CASH or Venmo only (a discount off the normal price of $28.00) payable Friday evening or Saturday AM.  If you prefer to book the cruise on Saturday, you will need to do so directly with the cruise company at their regular rate.   We will also carpool into the park and will have signup sheets for drivers and passengers.  If you have a National Park Pass – please remember to bring it!

GLACIER ZIPLINES THRU THE FOREST:  We are hosting a ZipLine event on Sunday afternoon.  We have space for 10 people @ a cost of $99/person (plus gratuity) and have openings for up to 10 people.  If you would like to do this you will book directly with Glacier Ziplines by calling 406-892-8020 and letting them know you are with Northwest Christian Singles Retreat for Sunday, May 24th.  You must mention this to get the discount.  This is available to the first 10 people that register (8 spots left).

DIRECTIONS AND ARRIVAL TIMES

The retreat is held at Glacier Bible Camp at 400 5th Street West, Hungry Horse, MT.  GPS in the past years has greatly improved so you should be able to use navigation to get to the retreat however printed, written directions and/or a map are a great back-up!

In Hungry Horse, look for Beargrass Lodging & RV Resort and Willow’s Huckleberry Jam & Pie Factory – turn between these 2 businesses and the camp is a couple long blocks off the main highway. Once you arrive at the camp's MAIN GATE and pass through the gate, REGISTRATION IS IN THE LOBBY OF GLACIER LODGE -- YOU DO NOT NEED TO STOP AT THE OFFICE! Proceed STRAIGHT past the office (do not turn right in front of the office) – you will see Glacier Lodge on your right as you come to the bend in the road.
Coming from West:  First arrive in Columbia Falls, then take Hwy 2 East.  AFTER crossing the bridge of the S.F. Flathead River, at the top of the hill (crest) make a LEFT-HAND TURN on 5th Street (Between Crooked Tree RV Park & The Huckleberry Jam and Pie Factory).  Travel down the hill a few blocks and you will see camp signs on the Left.
Coming from East:  First take Hwy 2 West past West Glacier (Glacier Park) to Hungry Horse.  Passing through the majority of Hungry Horse, take a RIGHT-HAND TURN on 5th Street before starting down the hill.  This will be just past The Huckleberry Jam & Pie Factory.  (If you cross the Bridge of the S.F. Flathead River, you have gone too far.) Travel down the hill a few blocks and you will see camp signs on the Left.  Retreat registration will be in GLACIER LODGE and officially opens at 4 p.m. however, if you arrive earlier and we are ready, we will be happy to get you registered.  Make sure to eat lunch on the way as the first meal is dinner.
Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. IN GLACIER LODGE and continues until approximately 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23rd – once the session begins you will find us in the conference room where the sessions are held (look for a sign directing you where to go).  You can join us for that session and register after.   Please let us know if you will be arriving after 10:00 p.m. or not arriving until Saturday a.m.
LATE ARRIVALS
If you arrive after hours the first night or subsequent nights, the gate MAY be locked.  The code to open the gate is #0802 (it requires the # sign in the front of the number).  Friday dinner will be served between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME).  If you will be arriving late and want us to set aside a dinner for you, we will be happy to do that, but you must notify us in advance.  TEXT SUSIE @ 208-667-8692.   We have a preliminary agenda online for the weekend, but it is subject to change.

OPENING SESSION & Welcome message begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by Worship.  The first session will begin at approximately 8:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE - TIME CHANGE

Montana is on Mountain Standard time.
Please also remember that when you cross the Montana border you will be on MOUNTAIN TIME.  Adjust your travel time accordingly as you will lose an hour when traveling from the west (Idaho, Washington, California) – You gain an hour traveling from the east.
Bring your bikes if you want to join other singles for a bike ride in the area – no bike trip is organized but there are always a few that enjoy going for a ride.   If you enjoy fishing, you can fish in Glacier Park with no permit.   We have two afternoons of free time for you to enjoy and explore!  Weather-permitting, we will have a camp fire each night, complete with music and S’mores!  We hope you’re as excited as we are to experience the fun, faith and fellowship our team has been planning.

FOOD/MEALS
The camp will accommodate Gluten free/Gluten sensitive, and dairy free, but will not be able to provide “special” diets.  This is not a certified Gluten-Free kitchen and cross contamination may be an issue if you are Celiac.  If you are on a very limited or special diet, you may want to consider bringing your own food.  Do hesitate to reach out for the menu in advance to see if you need to plan for your own meals.  If needed, access to a small kitchen and fridge is available.

CARPOOLING / TRANSPORTATION/ARRIVAL

A number of campers have asked about carpooling.  Some people need a ride, some want to carpool, and some want to caravan.
If you are in need of transportation or carpool information, please send us a quick reply email and indicate CARPOOL INFO and we will add you to a separate correspondence.  We have done our best to get those in outlying areas connected to others traveling to the retreat.

FOR THOSE ARRIVING BY AIR or RAIL

If you are needing a ride from the airport, we are planning to pick up passengers.  We will send a van and you may need to wait for other passengers to arrive as well.  If you have already emailed your flight information to us, please confirm your arrival times are as scheduled by TEXTING SUSIE @ 208-667-8692 a day or two in advance with flight info.  Then on the day of arrival confirm your arrival ETA via text at 208-667-8692.  The airport is approximately 30 minutes away from camp.  We will then let you know the phone number of the person picking you up and vehicle description.
