What We Believe:
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
WE BELIEVE that there is one God eternally existent in three person. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

About Northwest Christian Singles Retreat and our Servant Leaders
Susie and Val Johnson, together with a talented team of servant leaders are excited to once again offer the Northwest Christian Singles Retreat at Glacier Bible Camp. Beginning in the late 1980’s, the singles retreat at Glacier Bible camp was a consistent Memorial Day Weekend gathering for singles from all over the Pacific Northwest, up until 2009. After a 7 year “pause”, opportunity arose in 2017, and with the Lord's leading, Susie prayerfully took on the responsibilities of facilitating the Northwest Christian Singles Retreat at Glacier Bible camp as another opportunity to bring singles together under the Christian Singles PULSE ministry, with the help of the Northwest Christian Singles leadership team.
Susie (Cowan) Johnson has been activity serving single adults, beginning in 1999, at the calling of the Lord and the formation of a vision for Christian Singles PULSE – a ministry born from Hebrews 10:25-25 to be Positive, Uplifting, Loving, Serving, and Encouraging. Singles “Alive in Christ” – because without PULSE – chances are you just aren’t living!
Over the past 25 years, Susie’s service to singles has had many different seasons, but the Lord has always been constant and faithful through each of them. She has served in leadership with New Life Singles, Real Life Singles, retreat leadership for the Christian Singles Summit at Glacier, Northwest Christian Singles Retreat leadership, as well as an active part of Northwest Christian Singles leadership. She has also participated in Navigate Single Adult Leadership training. In 2013, after Real Life Ministries discontinued their active singles ministry, Susie was led to launch Christian Singles PULSE as a Meetup group to fill in the gap and keep Christian singles from falling through the church cracks. In the past 11 years, Susie has consistently been the servant leader for Christian Singles PULSE, with a Meetup community of over 1500 singles in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. Through the Meetup site, they promote area singles ministry events, and plan activities and events to cultivate singles fellowship. They include monthly ministry nights, bible studies, game nights, movie nights, dinners out, holiday parties, local events, theater, dance lessons, campouts, and pretty much anything that will bring life and encouragement to single adults and, at the same time, honor the Lord.
In May of 2023, Susie married Val Johnson, one week before the 2023 Memorial Day Retreat, and on their honeymoon, together they joyfully jumped in to serve singles together at the retreat! Their marriage relocated Susie from North Idaho to northern Utah where Susie and Val reside. Together, with a passion and calling to minister to singles in Northern Utah, they created a new non-denominational ministry in 2024, “Christian Singles TRIBE – True Relationships In Biblical Exchange”. Additionally, together as a couple, they continue to direct the Northwest Christian Singles Retreat leadership team. They currently call The Mountain church, in Sandy, Utah their church home and are blessed by the support and encouragement of Pastor Ken Kruger in their ministry to singles.
We are excited to continue the traditional Singles Memorial Day Weekend retreat; reconnect with old friends and make new. We are very blessed to have passionate singles ministry leaders share their love for single adults and share their wisdom at our retreat! We are even more excited to have YOU join us!
