Frequently Asked Questions
- May I bring children? This retreat is for single adults 18 years or older. Children are allowed only with pre-approval, and no childcare will be available.
- May I bring my pet? Per camp policy, no pets are allowed. Prior arrangements with Glacier Bible Camp are required to bring a guide dog or service animal.
- Can I attend only one day, and if so, is there a reduced cost? If you cannot attend for three days, please contact the event organizer to discuss your situation. This will best be answered when we know your situation and needs.
- What is the dress code? This is camp casual. Weather can vary–sunny, warm, rainy, cold, or both! It is suggested to bring casual, comfortable clothing that can be layered. Prepare for rain with a raincoat or umbrella. Heals or dress shoes are not recommended, as the roads and walkways are gravel and can be uneven or muddy. Bring hiking shoes/boots if you are planning to go to Glacier. Bring a warm coat as the evening temperatures drop.
- Can I bring a cooler? Yes, coolers are allowed. Reminder: NO alcohol is permitted at the camp.
- Are the rooms locked? All rooms have locks, with up to 4 keys per room. The camp requires a KEY DEPOSIT of $20 PER KEY. If you fail to return or lose your key, you will be billed the $20 lost key fee.
- What is the cancellation policy? Full refund, LESS $20 service fee up until May 9th. There is no refund after that time; however, your registration is fully transferable to another attendee anytime up to the start of the retreat.
- Do you have options for food restrictions (gluten-free, diabetic, vegan, etc.)? The camp has been changing the meals to accommodate more food restrictions. Gluten-free options will be available. However, this is not a gluten-free kitchen. If you have severe dietary restrictions, you may consider bringing food to accommodate your needs.
- Is financial assistance available? We don't want anyone to stay home because of finances. If you need financial aid, partial scholarships will be available as they are donated to our retreat. Please email us and share your needs. Assistance is on a case-by-case basis. If the Lord has blessed you financially, please pray about donating to this fund on the registration page. Thank you in advance. In the past, generous gifts have helped over 20 people each year to be able to attend.
- I don't know anyone who is attending. Is there a way to connect with someone who might want to share a room? Based on your room selection, we will do our best to assign you a room with others.
- Is carpooling available? If you desire to carpool, please let us know, and we will try to connect you with others from your area who may also be interested.
- What are the ages of the attendees? While it is open to single adults 18 years and older, typically, the majority are over 40. We would love to engage a group of younger singles to facilitate drawing younger attendees. The messages will always be relevant to all ages.
